WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22
6:30 – 7:30 p.m. = Activities for All Ages
–With ministries for all ages (both children and adults), Wednesday evenings provide a great recharge for the middle of the week. The events include our adults’ Bible study fellowship, youth group (for students grades 6-12), TeamKID (for all children who are elementary-aged and below), and nursery (for toddlers and infants).
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27
9:30 a.m. – Family Groups
–Family groups are Bible study fellowships for all ages – children, youth and adults. *Nursery is included for infants and toddlers, too. We consider family groups to be an essential ministry for discipleship and relationships.
10:40 a.m. – Morning Worship Service (*Nursery for children age 3 and under and children’s ministry during the worship service are currently suspended due to COVID-19, but children are still welcome and encouraged to attend services with their parents/guardians.)
–Morning worship is an essential time of growing in God’s Word together. It’s that time of the week when most of our church family is all together for the purpose of worshiping our Lord and building up His body.
6:00 p.m. – Prayer & Praise Service // Youth Discipleship Bible Study
–Prayer & Praise is our Sunday evening worship service when we gather to praise our God, pray for our church family, community, nation and the world, and talk about how we can better live our lives on mission throughout each day. Also, the Richland Youth (grades 6-12) meet during this hour for their discipleship Bible study.
7:00 p.m. – Deacons’ Meeting
We invite you to join us again on Sunday morning at 10:40 for our outdoor worship celebration. You will have the option of sitting in the shade on lawn chairs and/or blankets, or remaining in your vehicle – whatever you are most comfortable doing. You also have the option of sitting inside and tuning in via live stream. Come and worship with us through song, prayer, and the preaching of God’s Word.
Family Groups (aka Sunday School classes) for all ages are also meeting at 9:30 a.m., including nursery for toddlers and infants.
The outdoor worship celebrations will continue to take place on the west side of the church building (in front of the parsonage). This allows for lots of shaded ground for people to sit outside, as well as still offer plenty of parking for those who wish to remain in their vehicles during the service. If you plan on sitting outside on your lawn chair, picnic blanket, or a chair provided here, please be sure to park on the east side of the building (in the gravel lot or the lower level) to leave room on the west side for guests and those wishing to stay in their vehicles.
Some members of our praise team will lead us in a few songs, and this Sunday, September 27, Pastor Preston Thompson will be preaching from John 13:34-35 (“By This All People Will Know!”).
Please note that, for the health and safety of those in attendance, we will still ask that people practice social distancing (6+ feet). Thus, if you decide to sit outside or inside, please sit with those in your household but socially-distanced from other family units.
If you are more comfortable, you can also simply remain in your vehicle and tune in to 91.1 FM (or listen with your windows open).
In the case of bad weather, we will move the service inside but still provide the option of listening to the service (from the parking lot) in your vehicles if you are uncomfortable being in the building at this time.
